Tonight marked our first Family Dinner Night of fall semester. The new interns were excited to try out their skills in the kitchen and their efforts certainly paid off!
After introductions and announcements, the plates started coming out. Whole wheat crust pizzas topped with mushrooms, spinach, and sausage, green salad with roasted beets, goat cheese, and walnuts, and a peach cake for dessert.
Many of the attendees were returning members, but there were a lot of new faces as well.
As a Slow Food chapter, we strive to not only serve up delicious meals, but to make them good, clean and fair.
Join us for another FDN next Monday at the Crossing (1127 University Avenue). The sign-up poll will be posted later this week.
